What an incredible 2025 Energy Breakthrough!

This year’s Energy Breakthrough, powered by Honda, roared to life with 3,500 students from nearly 100 schools across Victoria and beyond, all coming together to celebrate innovation, teamwork, resilience, and pure pedal-powered passion.

From the moment teams rolled into Maryborough last Tuesday afternoon, the atmosphere buzzed with excitement.

Students fine-tuned their vehicles, rehearsed their presentations, and put months of planning, engineering, and collaboration to the test.

The track action was fast and fierce, the pit lanes were alive with teamwork and problem-solving (and the nutbush!), and the energy from parents, siblings, grandparents and spectators was nothing short of electric!

Across five massive days, we witnessed future engineers, mechanics, designers, leaders, and environmental champions in action.

Whether it was in the human powered vehicles, energy efficient vehicles (Electric and Pedal+Electric), pushcarts, or robotics – every team gave it their all and showcased what young people can achieve when creativity meets determination.

But the 2025 Energy Breakthrough, powered by Honda wasn’t just a competition — it was a celebration of learning, community spirit, and the belief that young people can shape a cleaner, smarter, more sustainable future.

Thank you to the 700+ volunteers who help make the breakthrough happen.

A huge congratulations to every participant, teacher, volunteer, and supporter who made this year’s event one of the biggest and best yet.
