WHAT:

To support schools get rolling towards our Maryborough, the Country Education Partnership (CEP) is hosting a series of ‘Test’N’Tune Days in Bendigo, Ballarat and Morwell in 2025.

WHY?

We know that building momentum in Energy Breakthrough programs can be a challenge.
The purpose of this day is to give students ‘seat time’ in their vehicles, and for introductions and information sharing between schools and throughout the community.

MEET N GREET, BBQ & COFFEE:

A key element of the day will be a 30 minute ‘cease-ride’ period during the middle of the day, where there will be a short welcome by the Country Education Partnership team, a free BBQ for students and staff and a ‘show and shine’ opportunity for teams to look inside other vehicles and learn how and what others are building.

FAQS

  • Can I attend more than one day?

Yes, schools are welcome to attend more than one Test N Tune Day. However, this is subject to capacity.
  • Are these races? Is there lap timing?

This is an untimed event, with an emphasis on learning. Schools are encouraged to record their own lap times for their own information.

  • Do schools need to provide marshals?

Schools will be required to provide flag marshals for safety during the track times. Flags will be provided by the EB team.
  • Is there FIRST AID provided?

Yes, professional first aid providers will be engaged to safely support the day’s activities
  • Why have these days of the week been chosen?

Certain days during the week have been selected with an aim to reduce Time In Lieu implications for schools and the requirements of the individual venues.

  • Is there a risk management plan / safety plan / insurance available?

Yes. Please email us at enquiries@eb.org.au and we will email you copies of the relevant safety documentation. You may need to supply this to your school leadership for review.

  • Do I need to log my participating riders?

Yes, for insurance purposes we need to capture a simple list of riders who are in the vehicles on track.

  • What is the cost? and how do we pay?

Cost is $100 per vehicle per event to cover insurance, first aid, access to toilets, BBQ, any venue fees and operating costs.
Invoices will be sent by CEP to schools after each event based on the number of vehicles each school puts on track each day.
