Child Safe Commitment
The Energy Breakthrough is committed to the safety, participation, and empowerment of all children and young people.
We uphold a zero-tolerance approach to child abuse and are committed to creating inclusive, respectful, and culturally safe environments, particularly for Aboriginal children, children with disability, and children from culturally and linguistically diverse backgrounds.
We listen to and respect the views of children and young people and involve them in decisions that affect them. Their voices are valued across all aspects of our program.
All staff and volunteers are required to hold a current Working with Children Check and are supported through training and resources to understand their responsibilities under the Child Safe Standards.
We have a confidential and accessible process for reporting child safety concerns and take all complaints seriously.
The Energy Breakthrough is committed to continuous improvement in our approach to child safety and regularly reviews our policies and practices to ensure they remain strong, transparent, and effective.
