GETTING TO EB

Maryborough is a scenic 2 hour drive from Melbourne, 1 hour from Bendigo, and 1 hour from Ballarat. Here’s a few suggestions to get you here safely.

TRAVELLING FROM MELBOURNE

You have two choices – west towards Ballarat or north toward Bendigo, via Castlemaine – and both around about the same drive time.

Via Ballarat

To go west towards Ballarat, find the Western Hwy (M8) and take the exit towards Creswick and Clunes (C291).

After Clunes, route C291 becomes the C287 and will lead you all the way to Maryborough.

Via Castlemaine

To go north towards Bendigo, first find the Calder Fwy (M79) and take the exit towards Castlemaine on the Pyrenees Hwy (B180).
Follow this all the way to Maryborough.

TRAVELLING FROM SOMEWHERE ELSE

From Ballarat

Most will head for Maryborough via Clunes, which is accessible by route A300 then C291 or Western Hwy (M8) and then the C287.
After Clunes, the C287 will lead you all the way to Maryborough.

From Bendigo

Via Kangaroo Flat or Marong, find the Bendigo-Maryborough Rd (C277). After the Lockwood Crossing (where the C277 meets the A790) there’s only one left turn onto the Maryborough-Dunolly Rd (Still the C277).

Follow this all the way to Maryborough.

From Horsham

Head south-east on the A8 until you reach the Stawell-Avoca Rd (C221) towards Glenorchy. Follow the C221 until you reach the Sunraysia Hwy (B220) and turn right onto the B220. At Avoca, head east on the Pyrenees Hwy (B180) all the way to Maryborough.
