By participating in the Energy Breakthrough, local Community Groups can contribute to a vital community event and gain fundraising support for their local group or club.
Energy Breakthrough has the following opportunities for community groups to get involved across toilets and showers cleaning, ‘sustainability pit crew’, track set-up and pack-up and waste collection.
Permanent Toilets and Showers Cleaning
Council is seeking a community group for the cleaning and restocking of permanent toilet and showers across the Princes Park event site for the next one to three events. (2025-2026-2027)
Sustainability Pit Crew
Energy Breakthrough (EB) is committed to reducing event waste. In partnership with our food vendors, EB has introduced a wash against waste system along with our recycling and organics waste streams to divert thousands of kgs of waste from landfill each year.
Council is seeking support from a community group to undertake these tasks.
Track Set Up and Pack Up
In 2025 Track 1 (1.58 km street circuit) will be used for all Trial events; Secondary HPV, Primary HPV , Tryathlon and Energy Efficient Vehicle. Track 1 is required to be set up with barriers prior to Tuesday 18 November 2025 and packed down on Sunday 23 November 2025.

Waste Collection
Council is seeking a community group for a Waste Collection Team for the next one to three events. (2025-2026-2027)
