2026 Entry Fees
  • Human Powered Vehicles (Primary / Secondary): $899.00 inc. GST per entry.
  • Human Powered Vehicles (TRYathlon): $899.00 inc. GST per entry.
  • Energy Efficient Vehicles (EEVs): $TBA. Entry fees under review – see note below.
  • Pushcarts:
    • $440.00 inc. GST per entry for the first team per school.
    • A 30% discount for a second or additional teams per school.
  • Robotics: $200.00 inc. GST per entry, includes Sphero Global Challenge entry fee.

All prices include GST.

ENTRY NOTES

HUMAN POWERED VEHICLES

The entry fee for our Human Powered Vehicle (HPV) categories (Primary, Secondary and TRYathlon) in 2026 will be the equivalent of $112.50 per student for a team of eight. 

ENERGY EFFICIENT VEHICLES

The entry fee for our Energy Efficient Vehicles (EEV) category is currently under review for 2026.

More information will be provided to EEV teams by the EB team during late 2025 and early 2026, including opportunities to provide feedback and discuss this category into the future.

ROBOTICS

The entry fee for the Robotics categories in 2026 will be the equivalent of $40 per student for a team of five students. This also includes the Sphero Global Challenge entry fee. Schools will register and pay one fee via Energy Breakthrough and be provided with an access code to join the Sphero Global Challenge by our Robotics Coordinator. Schools will no longer need to pay a $USD entry component, this will all be taken care of.

PUSHCARTS

The entry fee for the Pushcarts categories in 2026 is $44 per student for a team of ten. We are also offering a 30% discount on additional teams to help drive up entry numbers for our events.

What’s included in the entry fees?

Schools receive:

  • Event entry.
  • Access to education support throughout the year, including school visits, webinars, lesson plans and student worksheets.
  • Assessments in Display & Presentation, Design & Construction and Scrutineering.
  • Electronic lap timing, including use of transponders and number panels.
  • Free on-site camping, including access to drinking water, toilets and showers.
  • Access to a pit site for HPV and EEV teams.
  • Opportunity to participate in regional Test N Tune events.
  • Access to Licensed First Aid Services on site at the event.

Where the entry fee money goes:

Your entry fee supports the planning, administration, and safe operation of the Energy Breakthrough program.

Your entry fee contributes to the on-site event facilities in Maryborough, including insurance, toilets, showers, safety barriers, event marquees, on-site electrical, plumbing, waste management, medical services, security services, electronic race timing, scoring, on-site camping and entertainment.

End of Term 3: Friday 18th Sept  (unless sold out earlier – final day of school term 3 in Victoria)

Online Entry System

To register a new team, you will need to have an online account with us in our Online Entry System.

Existing Users: Simply use your email and password you created previously. If you’ve forgotten your password, simply click the ‘Forgot Password’ button on the Online Entry System and you’re good to go. If you’ve forgotten your username, just shoot us an email online@eb.org.au and we’ll sort that out for you.

New Users: Register a new account with us via the Log-In button below.

STEP 2: MANAGE YOUR ENTRY – TEAM MANAGER SIGN-IN

Team Managers can sign-in throughout the year to manage their entries. Information includes team names, team member details, camping information, pit requests and contact details.
