Buy a RACV Energy Breakthrough wristband for $2 to celebrate the 20th edition of our great event. Profits from the sale of the wristbands will be shared with the Zaidee’s Rainbow Foundation.

The wristbands will be available from the Administration Centre and Food Vendors around the site from the time registration opens on Thursday morning through to the finish of the event on Sunday (Nov 18 – 21).

Zaidee’s Rainbow Foundation was started by Kim and Allan Turner, who’s daughter Zaidee, aged 7 years and 22 days died suddenly on 2nd December 2004 from a burst blood vessel in her brain called a Cerebral Aneurism.

Their story:

The Turner family have been registered Organ and Tissue Donors for 5 years. As a result Zaidee donated her Organs and Tissues at the Royal ChildrenÕs Hospital as were her wishes at the time.

Zaidee was the only child in Victoria under the age of 16 years and we have been told one of the youngest Australians to donate her organs and tissues in 2004. She was only 1 of 6 children nationally to donate their organs.

Allan and his team have visited Maryborough a number of times this year and have had a profound impact on the students there. As a result, Maryborough Education College has a vehicle titled: Zaidee’s” to recognise the importance of the foundations work.

The Zaidee’s Rainbow Foundation will be on site at the RACV Energy Breakthrough if you’re interested in finding out more.

What do the wristbands look like?

On one side of the band is the RACV Energy Breakthrough logo and on the reverse:
