Geoff ‘Coxy’ Cox was his larger than life self when two Energy Breakthrough vehicles took up residence at the RACV City Club on June 12.

The vehicles – Weeroona College Bendigo’s HPV ‘Fill’ and Staughton College, Melton’s Hybrid 1 ‘SCM Racing’ – will be on display in the foyer of the club until June 29.

Coxy was in his prime and clearly has a love for sustainable and efficient transport. He spoke with the three Weeroona College students, Bec, Shaun and Tameya, about the construction of their vehicle and about the excitement of racing.

The students pulled on their best smiles for a round of photos to appear throughout RACV’s publications.

Nicky Whelan from Coxy’s Big Break attended the RACV Energy Breakthrough back in 2005 and ran a feature story for the program which was seen on Channel 7 across Australia. Nicky can now be found nightly on popular soap, Neighbours.

The RACV City Club, which opened in July last year is situated at 501 Burke St, and is a bustling Melbourne meeting venue, gym and restaurant. This will provide a great opportunity to promote Staughton College, Weeroona College and the RACV Energy Breakthrough program.
