The RACV Energy BreakthroughÕs online manager, Nigel Preston, is visiting the Holden Maryborough Technology Challenge in Queensland. The event is relatively young compared to Victorian events, but is quickly becoming a major festival of energy efficiency and action.

ÒI am really looking forward to seeing how the Holden Maryborough Technology Challenge shapes up, especially in terms of categories such as the solar events and crafty designs which is an area we are Nigel recently told the team in Queensland.

“I have been over to Murray Bridge in South Australia and Wonthaggi as a racer and as a visitor, checked out Casey and Maroondah too. I have a keen interest in investigating Maryborough, Queensland now and possibly Tasmania next year.”

“It is fundamental to the improvement of our event that we visit each other. It is another way to review and reflect on areas of the Breakthrough that need improvement and areas we’re doing well.”

Kim Griffith, MTC Event Coordinator came down to the Breakthrough two years ago for a similar purpose.

“I feel as though I am returning the courtesy,” Nigel explained, “I’m really keen to see how Parade go and to see how their solar, Co2 Dragsters and crafty design events shape up. Those areas are ones we are hoping to improve in 2008 at the Energy Breakthrough.”

Nigel and his wife Fiona will be visiting the Fraser Coast for the first time.
