2019 HPV, EEV and TRYathlon Specifications Released

New year, new rules! After publishing a set of draft rule changes under consideration last year, our Lead Scrutineers Michael McTigue and Tim White have gathered feedback, deliberated, discussed and now finalised the 2019 Energy Breakthrough Vehicle Specifications and Trial Regulations for HPV, EEV and TRYathlon teams.

Inside Woodleigh School’s success at the RACV EB

Not many schools achieve back-to-back success in Human Powered Vehicle (HPV) events. So, we caught up with their Team Manager and RACV EB Alumni Jono Keane to find out more about their approach. Whilst they were pipped for line honours by Energy Efficient Vehicles on both occasions - first by Rode RAGE (2015) and then by Ormeau State High School (2016) - there was still plenty for the Woodleigh team to be proud of as we discovered...

Event Report: Casey Fields, Round 3 (2014)

With near perfect racing conditions with light winds and sunshine the 96 teams that took to the track at Casey Fields on Saturday for Round 3 of the Victorian HPV Series, were up for a fun filled and fast paced 6 hours ahead of them.

Event Report: Bendigo EEV/HPV Grand Prix (2014)

The recent inaugural 10-hour Bendigo EEV/HPV Grand Prix - held at the Bendigo Livestock Exchange - could well feature in many school's 2015 racing calendars. With relatively fine yet cool and dry conditions for most of the race with a slight shower in the early evening, 33 teams across 6 categories took to the track for the new race. This event has stepped up from a previous October warm-up event held in Bendigo.

Event Report: 2014 Wonthaggi Grand Prix

The 17th annual Wonthaggi Grand Prix saw a strong field of 90 teams including two interstate teams took to the track for the  for Round 2 of the Victorian HPV Series this year. Tents were pitched whilst camping and pit areas were set up and teams were keen to race for the next 24 hours....
