The Central Goldfields Shire Council Youth Services (CGSC) and youthcentral are teaming up to produce a short film of the 2007 RACV Energy Breakthrough.

At the Breakthrough they’ll be calling on YOU to help make and record the stories that make up these video clips. The team will be roaming the event site to capture the spectacle and action, with the finished product eventually loaded onto youthcentral’s Bendigo and area page.

The council’s youth multimedia team – Maryborough & District Productions (or MAD) – will be creating a series of short video clips showcasing stories from the Maryborough area until July 2007. It is one of eight similar Local Partnerships from across Victoria supported by youthcentral.

The MAD team will undergo film production training in early October.

Other video clips in the pipeline include:

– Bullying: statistics, interviews with parents, teachers and principals

– Project Goldfields: Looking at activities managed by the Maryborough Youth Services team, including skate events, school holiday program and FReeZA Battles (this will include the RACV Energy Breakthrough)

– Defining Moments: Short interviews around 3 or 4 minutes about things that have changed people’s lives
